Meet The Owners
Meet Howard Newport and Gary Holt. The strengths of these two business owners are a unique combination of skills and experiences, unmatched in this business. Had they not joined forces, these two experts could have easily created two of the best Central Indiana heating contractors. But they recognize the extra value of the partnership. Customers who know both Gary and Howard recognize this advantage.
Howard – is Central Indiana’s leading HVAC design engineer. All new home builders in the Indianapolis area are aware of the design skills and knowledge found at Precision Comfort Systems and they know the individual responsible for this. Howard is the “layout guy” for the homes that require a comfort system done right.
In the business for over 30 years, Howard had experience in working for a small business and also one of the largest. Eventually, after realizing the Central Indiana area needed a quality, mid-sized HVAC company based on excellence, in 1998, he and Gary created Precision Comfort Systems.
Howard’s credentials are scattered throughout the state (if not the nation). If you know our local, premium home builders who specialize in energy efficient homes, precise comfort and quality workmanship, chances are the comfort systems in those homes were designed by Howard.
Gary – is the kind of business owner whom customers like to brag about knowing. In addition to running the business with Howard, Gary spends many of his hours with customers in their home or reviewing plans for their new home. He takes the time to get to know people. The friendships he has created are permanent and not surprisingly, they tend to create even more relationships through referrals.
In addition to his knack for making friends, Gary can spot a quality employee quickly. In choosing the Precision Comfort team, he will not consider any other type. Over the years Gary and Howard have accumulated an impressive group of very skilled, considerate technicians and other employees.
Gary is perhaps one of the most knowledgeable resources regarding geothermal heating and cooling systems. He has researched and taught thousands of people in the Midwest about the features and benefits of geothermal heating. Many contractors in the state call Gary to ask his advice on geothermal installations and operations.
